ETV To Premiere Its South Carolina Channel With Live Broadcast

The Program, Airing Oct. 1 at 8 p.m., Will Feature All-Star Lineup of Charles Bolden, Miss South Carolina, Rudy Mancke

Columbia, SC…On Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m., ETV will launch its brand-new
South Carolina Channel with a live program. Guests on the program include former astronaut and SC native General Charles Bolden, Miss South Carolina Jessica Eddins, and naturalist and host of NatureScene Rudy Mancke, whose program will be a staple of the new South Carolina Channel.

The half-hour show, entitled ETV Launches The South Carolina Channel, will then be rebroadcast at 8:30 p.m.

The show will come to viewers from the State Fair on the eve of its opening. The program will include clips from shows on the South Carolina Channel, as well as a sneak peek of the ETV exhibit at the State Fair, which spotlights “the living room of the future.”

The conclusion of the program will feature a countdown and pressing of the launch button by former astronaut Bolden.

With the launch of its South Carolina Channel—a digital broadcast service—ETV will provide viewers with 24/7 programming for South Carolinians and by South Carolinians about the Palmetto State. ETV’s regional station in Sumter, WRJA-TV, will serve as the hub of the South Carolina Channel operations, offering programming from many sources.
