South Carolina ETV
Where will EBS work?
ETV worked closely with the state's Broadband Technology and Communication Study Committee to develop the vision of how EBS can best serve our state. The study resulted in a report to the General Assembly, and legislation is pending. Negotiations between a commercial providers, education and government institutions will ultimately determine where services will be provided first, but the entire state will eventually have access to wireless broadband.
This is extremely advantageous to the rural communities of South Carolina, where access to broadband is limited and costly.
"This Opportunity for ETV to light up the state with its educational broadband is unique and exciting."
