ETV partners with many locations around the state that have the capability to originate and send Video/Audio programming back to ETV in Columbia. These broadcast origination sites are facilities that are capable of producing a signal which can then be picked up in Columbia at ETV's Telecommunications Center. The signals are routed into ETV's Master Control where they are monitored and switched to the 32 channel digital satellite uplink for delivery throughout the United States.

These origination sites may be as complex as a complete TV production studio or as simple as a camera and a microphone to be delivered to classrooms throughout the state for distance education.
