Satellite Receiver DSR-4200 Remapping Instructions

Please insure the following before attempting remapping procedure:

  • The cable from the satellite dish is connected to the K/V port on your receiver.
  • You are able to tune your receiver with the remote control and view the output of the receiver at the same time. This may mean moving a television to the receiver location. You must be watching the output channel of the receiver you wish to remap.
  • All satellite receivers which you DO NOT want to remap have no red light on the front. If they do, press the SAT/TV switch on the front of receiver you do not wish to change. (This will temporarily prevent the remote control from controlling them. Remember to press the SAT/TV button again when you are finished with the remapping procedure and insure that the red light comes back on.)

You are now ready to begin remapping:

  1. Press the Options button on the remote control. SEE (Options screen)
  2. Press 3 "Customize Program Viewing." SEE (Customize viewing screen)
  3. Press 4 "Change your password." SEE (Change your password screen)
  4. Enter the number 996 and then press the Time button on the lower left of the remote control. SEE (Installation screen).
  5. Press 2 for "Setup" and set the following:
        1-HOMING  set to Frequency
        2-VIDEO FORMAT  set to NTSC
        3-LNB SELECTION  set to LNBF
        4-POLARITY  set to Vertical
  6. Press the GO BACK button on the remote control. Press 3 "Manual tune" SEE (Manual tune screen.
  7. Place the yellow outline around the "Frequency Specification Box." Numbers will turn yellow.
  8. Enter the number 1226250. SEE (Frequency Specification should now read 1226.250)
  9. On TRANSPORT STREAM ID  the Disable button should be selected. Symbol Rate and Code Mode should be set to Auto.
  10. Using the blue arrow buttons on the remote, place the yellow outline around the Tune button.
  11. Press the Select button. SEE (The word "tuning" to the left of the tune button).
  12. You should now see a white bar indication in the "Signal Strength" box at the bottom of the screen. If not, press view button and repeat above steps. If you still have no signal indication, report this to Network Technical Services and we will provide you with additional technical help.
  13. Id could take between 20-40 minutes for your receiver to remap, but when it is finished the green signal indicator on your receiver should light. (This is the UPPER green led)
  14. Wait for 2 minutes after the green signal indicator lights and the press the View button. SEE (main screen with blue banner at top).
  15. Your DSR-4200 should now be re-mapped and ETV channels 301-316 should be viewable.

If your receiver does not remap after 5 minutes, you may need to reauthorize your receiver.
