Christy L. Berry
Since 2003, Christy has been the Technology Coach for Dillon County School District 3. From 1997-2003, she was a branch manager in the Dillon County Library system. While with the library system, she created, implemented, and taught its public computer classes for six years. In addition, she wrote and received a grant to purchase a mobile laptop classroom for the library system.
Christy graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Francis Marion University. She was awarded a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of South Carolina in 2002.
Sherri K. Boone
Sherri is currently a Technology Educator and 7th grade math teacher at Guinyard-Butler Middle School in Barnwell. From 2002-04 she taught 7th grade math and social studies at Carver Edisto Middle School in Cordova. From 1999-2002, Sherri was the 1st-4th grade technology teacher and 3rd grade science and social studies teacher at Allendale Primary School. She won an EIA Grant during the 2000-01 schoolyear.
Sherri earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Winthrop University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Education from Lesley University. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Denmark Alumnae Chapter.
Melissa Buffkin
Melissa is the Technology Coach for grades three-seven at Lake View Elementary and Middle Schools. Prior to this she taught 3rd grade at Lake View Elementary. In addition to her duties as Technology Coach, she is the editor of the elementary yearbook and is an after-school program teacher.
Melissa earned a BA degree in Elementary Education from Coastal Carolina University in Conway and a MS degree in Education with a focus on Integrating Technology in the Classroom from Walden University in Baltimore, MD.
Tracy Brown Tracy holds a master of education degree in secondary mathematics from South Carolina State University. She earned her bachelor of science degree in computer science and math from Claflin University. A teacher at Brookdale Middle School for five years, Tracy teaches middle school math and science. She is certified as a National Board Teacher and is an assistant professor of math and computer science at Claflin University and South Carolina State University.
Outside of the classroom, Tracy sings in her church choir
and is the church financial secretary. She is very interested in computer
science.
Lisa Brumley
This Gaffney native has taught in the public school system for the last seven years. She currently teaches eighth grade social studies and science at Gaffney Middle School.
Lisa earned her bachelor of science degree in elementary education
from Lander University and her master's degree in education from Converse
College. She is the sponsor of Gaffney Middle School's Students Against
Drunk Driving Club.

Linda BrownAfter graduating from the University of North Carolina
at Charlotte, Linda started her career as a junior high math teacher
in the Charlotte school district. She went on to teach sixth and seventh
grade math at Caughman Road Middle School after moving to Columbia.
When the school was designated an elementary school, Linda began to
teach fifth grade, fourth grade EIA math, and AAP math. After 18 years
of working in the classroom, she took the position of math consultant
for the Midlands Improving Math and Science Hub, located at South Carolina
ETV. She is now in her second year as the Hub's math consultant.

David Banaszak David is the coordinator at the Anderson County Distance Education Learning Center. Prior to taking that position, he was a language arts teacher at Lakeside Middle School in Anderson. Between 1992-94, David co-authored the reading and language arts curriculum for the sixth to twelfth grades for Anderson School District 5. He developed and designed a video studio for Lakeside Middle School, and produced and directed programs for the studio. In 1992, he was named "Teacher of the Year" at Lakeside.
David has a bachelor of science degree in secondary education,
with his major in English.

Yvette Barnes
An eighth grade teacher at Gregg Middle School in Summerville, Yvette Barnes earned her bachelor's degree in mathematics from Clemson University and her master's degree in curriculum and instruction from The Citadel. In addition to teaching at Gregg, Yvette has taught high school mathematics to adults as part of the Dorchester district's adult education program.
Yvette has been involved in several projects to enhance mathematics education. She and a colleague who teaches science received a grant to host a joint family math and science night in 1995. She won another grant to teach teachers to help eighth grade students make the transition from general math to algebra. She organized and coordinates a homework support group at her church for children of all ages. Yvette was a STAR (Strategies for Teacher Advancement and Renewal) participant in 1996.
Yvette has attended numerous workshops and conferences. She was a presenter at the fourth Carolinas Mathematics conference in 1997 and completed Curriculum Leadership I at the Berkeley-Dorchester Hub. She serves as the secretary for the Berkeley-Dorchester Hub Advisory Board.
Yvette has been listed in Who's Who Among American Educators. She
is a member of NCTM, SCCTM, LCMEA (Low Country Mathematics Educators
Association), NEA, SCEA, PTSA, and the Middle School Association. Yvette
is one of the chairpersons of the Mathematics department at Gregg Middle.
She is an advisor for the student council and serves a coach for the
Quest and Mathcounts teams. Her team has placed first in their region
for four consecutive years.
Gloria Brigman
Gloria is a biology, chemistry and physics teacher at Harley-Ridgeville High School in Dorchester District 4. She earned at bachelor of science degree in science from Claflin College in Orangeburg.
In addition to her teaching duties at Harley-Ridgeville, Gloria serves
as a Student Government Association advisor. She is a member of the
South Carolina Education Association.
