Patricia Hendrickson
Patricia is one of Chesterfield County School District’s Technology Coaches. Prior to that she was a grant writer and researcher (2000-03); the director of the Northeastern Tech Prep Consortium (1996-2000); and coordinator of the after-school program at Petersburg Elementary School (1994-96).
She holds a BBA in Business Administration from Montreat College in North Carolina and a MEd in Instructional Accommodation from Francis Marion University. Patricia is currently working on her EdD in Educational Leadership and Change from Fielding Graduate University.
In addition to her work as technology coach, Patricia is a member of the US Development Team and a Master Trainer for The Real Game series. She also teaches business on the college level. Her honors have included selection by the National Life/Work Centre of Canada to train teachers in the United Kingdom in career curriculum and her school district was awarded Arts in Basic Curriculum status and funding due to her efforts.
Ashley Holmes
Prior to becoming a science instructional coach at Sandhills Middle School in Gaston, Ashley taught 8th grade science at Manning Junior High School for five years and 8th grade science at Sandhills Middle for three years. She is a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Adolescence Science. Ashley was named 2004 Teacher of the Year at Sandhills Middle School and 2004 District Teacher of the Year in Lexington School District 4. She is a member of the SC Science Council and the National Science Teachers Association. Ashley has been a team leader for NASA Explorer Schools, too.
Ashley earned a BA in Elementary Education and a BA in Music from Furman University. She also holds a MEd in Divergent Learning.

Mandy Graves-Hilliard
Mandy is the Technology Coach for grades 6-8 at Blenheim Elementary/Middle School and for The Marlboro County School of Discovery. She also has taught 1st, 2nd and 4th grades.
Mandy graduated from Francis Marion University in 1998 with a BS in Elementary Education and is currently working on her master’s degree in Instructional Accommodations.

Mary Beth Hiers
Mary Beth is the Math Coach for grades K-5 th grade at Sandy Run Elementary School in Swansea. Prior to taking the position as Math Coach two years ago, Mary Beth taught for seven years at Guinyard Elementary and Sandy Run Elementary. In 2002 she earned her National Board Certification as an EC/Generalist. She is the Midlands Elementary Representative for the SCCTM Adivsory Council and is a member of NCTM and PSTA.
Mary Beth earned her BS in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston and a Master’s in Elementary Education from SC State University.
Anne Hood
Anne is the district Technology Coach for Marion School District 1. She has worked as a high school English teacher and as a school media specialist at all levels, from pre-kindergarten through college. She also taught English and education courses at Central Wesleyan College in Central, SC.
Anne is the co-facilitator of the Johnakin Middle School Tech Team, which works with ETV and the National Science Foundation to build middle school girls’ interest in science and technology. The Johnakin Tech Team is the SC Rural Program of 2004-05. Anne was named District Teacher of the Year during the 1997-98 school year and SC Media Specialist of the Year (2000-01). Since 2002 she has been National Board Certified in Library/Media.
Anne earned a BA in English from Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC, and a MEd in Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Garrison
Hall
A fourth grade teacher at Pauline-Glen Springs Elementary School, Garrison is a veteran NTTI master teacher. This is his third SC TTI and he was named ETV’s Teacher of Year in 1996. He has earned his National Board Certification and his many awards and honors include: Milken National Educator Award, National Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science, National Exemplary Elementary Science Teaching Award, and Honor Roll of Teachers Award.
Garrison is listed in the “Who’s Who in American Educators” and is a Solar System Educator Facilitator.
Julie
Huber
Julie, a 20-year veteran of South Carolina public schools, currently teaches a cross- curriculum second grade at Ben Hazel Primary School in Hampton District 1 where she has been employed for the last 14 years. Julie is a National Board Certified Teacher and has taught in both regular and special education settings. She also holds the position of Family Math and Science specialist at her school, where she collaborates with colleagues to hold various Family Math and Science sessions throughout the year. At the district level, Julie serves on various committees, is a local Teacher Forum advisor, and has acted as the Teacher of the Year Committee chairperson for the past five years.
She graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Elementary Education and is currently participating in a master’s program through Lesley University. In August of this year, Julie will graduate with a Masters of Creative Arts.
Maxine
M. Hyman
Maxine teaches second grade at Rivelon Elementary School in Orangeburg. She holds a B.S. degree in Health and Physical Science and an M.S. degree in Elementary Education from SC State University. In addition, Maxine has earned 30 hours and above her master’s degree from other colleges and universities.
Maxine taught health and physical education for two and a half years in Clarendon School District 2; grades 1 and 2 for five years in the former Orangeburg School District 6; first grade for 14 years in Orangeburg Consolidated School District 3; and grades 1 and 2 for four years in Orangeburg Consolidated School District 5.
Maxine was named Teacher of the Year for 2003-2004 at Rivelon Elementary and in 1985 received the same honor at North Elementary. In addition to her teaching duties, Maxine has served on the Orangeburg School District 5 Science Curriculum Committee.
Ellen
C. Holman
For the last two years Ellen has taught math and science
at North Elementary School. Prior to that she worked in
the Barnwell County School District and taught at Allendale
Elementary and Leesville Elementary. She earned her bachelor
of arts' degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education
from Columbia College and a master's degree in Media Arts
from the University of South Carolina.
Ellen is a member of SCEA, NEA and MENC. She was chosen to attend the Curriculum Leadership Institute in 2002. When she isn't teaching, Ellen is very active in the dramatic arts. She has starred in productions at Workshop Theatre and Town Theatre in Columbia and at the Circle Theatre in Barnwell. She has also performed with the Lexington Arts Association.

Jan Hazel
Jan earned her degree in early childhood education from Columbia College. During her 14-year career, Jan has taught kindergarten, first and second grade. She currently teaches second grade at Lonnie B. Nelson Elementary in Columbia where she is a Math Leader.
When not in the classroom, Jan enjoys playing the piano,
singing, boating and working in the yard.
Mindy Hester
A teacher at Garrett Academy of Technology in Charleston, Mindy holds both a bachelor of arts degree and a master's in education degree from Clemson University. In addition, she has over 30 post-graduate hours. This veteran teacher taught math for over six years at Easley High School, and for the last 15 years taught in Laurens District 55 High School. She has participated in the Upper Savannah Math and Science Hub's Curriculum Leadership Institutes, and is an Education Leadership Partner with the South Carolina Aquarium.
Mindy is a member of the SCCTM and NCTM, and was a district
representative for PSTA. She has been a presenter at regional,
state and national conferences on Math for Technologies
tips and techniques.
Bobbie Huntsinger
For the last two years, Bobbie has taught second grade
at Blacksburg Elementary School. She holds her bachelor
of arts degree in music education from Gardner-Webb University
in North Carolina and her master's of arts in elementary
education from Converse College. She took ESTEEM science
training through her Math/Science Hub last spring and during
the summer of 2001 enrolled in a handwriting teacher training
course. She has had a wide range of musical experiences
from training missionaries in music to touring as a soloist
across the US and Canada.

Becky Haigler
Becky graduated from Winthrop University in 1996 with a bachelor of science degree in biology and a minor in secondary education. She currently teaches seventh grade science at John Ford Middle School in St. Matthews. Prior to this, she taught ninth-grade biology and physical science at North Myrtle Beach High School. While at North Myrtle Beach High, Becky was named "Most Inspiration Teacher."
This year at John Ford Middle School, Becky
won an EIA grant for $2,000 to help develop an outside
garden. She is the NSTA point of contact for her school.
In this position, she has the opportunity to share with
her school colleagues programs offered through the Bamberg-Calhoun-Orangeburg
Hub (BCO) and the nation. Becky is also a member of the
BCO Advisory Committee. She is currently seeking a master's
of education with emphasis on biology through South Carolina
State University, as well as participating in the National
Board of Certification program. She is a member of SC2,
SCIRA, and PSTA.

Garrison
Hall
Garrison has been in the Greenville County schools for the last 19 years. He has taken the 1998-99 schoolyear off, however, to participate in "Teacher on Loan," a program of the State Department of Education's technology improvement initiative. Prior to this year, Garrison taught at Taylors Elementary School. There he set up one of the first elementary science labs in the district. Garrison was the state awardee in science for the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science and Mathematics for five consecutive years (1991-95). In 1993 he received the National Exemplary Elementary Science Teaching Award from Ciba-Geigy. In 1996, Garrison was named SCETV's first "Teacher of the Year" for the National Teacher Training Institute. That same year, he also won the Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award. In 1997, he was recognized in Who's Who of American Educators.
Rhonda S. Hollingsworth
Rhonda S. Hollingsworth has taught both third grade and fourth grades while serving as a teacher at Monarch Elementary School in Union. She received an associates degree at Spartanburg Methodist College and a bachelor's degree from USC. Rhonda received her initial certification at Converse College with a master's in early childhood and elementary education.
The 1995-1996 teacher of the year at Monarch Elemementary and the 1996-1997 District teacher of the year for Union County, she serves as a representative on the District Advisory Board for Union County School District and co-director ofher school's science fair. She is a member of the South Carolina Science Council and the International Reading Association. Rhonda has received health, science and math grants for her district. As a recipient of a South Carolina Science grant, she presented at the 1997 SC Science Council convention. In addition, she received a grant from Cambridge Developmental laboratories for use in Math instruction. Most recently she was recognized as a 1997 Wal-mart Teacher of the Year for excellence in teaching.
As a recipient of a Bell-South grant, Rhonda initiated a cooperative effort with the Union County Drug and Alcohol Abuse commission and local elementary schools to start Anti-Drug clubs.
Active in her community, she serves as a team leader for Hope Ministries, an outreach program for at-risk teenage girls. She was co-founder of Feed My Lambs, a group designed to target to at-risk children, meeting with them on weekends and during the summer months.
