Tina Rivers
Tina has been a member of the faculty at Cheraw Primary School for nine years. She teaches second grade and in the past has taught pull-out literacy groups. She has a Master’s Degree in Instructional Accommodation from Francis Marion University in Florence, SC. Tina is presently working on her Ph.D. in Education Leadership from Cappella University. She says, “I enjoy teaching and using my creative ideas to help students learn.”
Domer Ridings
A teacher for 36 years, Domer has been at Greenwood High School since
1981. He teaches Western Civilization and Human Geography. He received
his BA in history from Clemson and his MA in history from Georgia State.
He received a Fulbright Teacher Exchange Grant to Durham England in
1980 and taught British social and economic history at New College,
Durham.
Hope Robinson
Hope teaches third grade at Springfield Elementary, a Charleston County School District Showcase Technology School. She graduated from the College of Charleston and is currently working on her master's degree. She is a former member of the Charleston Symphony Youth Orchestra and was featured in Who's Who in American High School Students and Who's Who in American College Students.
Libia Raines
Libia teaches fifth-eighth grade Spanish at Blacksburg Middle School. She is a member of the Palmetto State Teacher Association and the Cherokee County Reading Council. She earned her liberal arts degree from Limestone College and earned her master's degree from Winthrop University. She originally joined the Cherokee County school system as a substitute teacher. After finishing her studies, she became part of the faculty at Blacksburg Middle.
Sandy Rogers
A teacher for five years, Sandy teaches sixth grade science
at Colleton Middle Annex in Walterboro. He earned his bachelor
of science degree in elementary education (along with an
additional 18 hours) from Charleston Southern University.
In his first year of teaching, he was named "Rookie
Teacher of the Year." In addition, he has been named "Teacher
of the Month" and "Innovative Teacher of the
Month." He has earned his Starlab certification from
the National Science Center in Augusta, GA.

Brenda Richardson
Prior to becoming an instructional technology specialist
in Laurens District 56, Brenda taught third grade at Joanna-Woodson
Elementary for three years. She is the secretary of the
Laurens County Reading Council, a member of the Laurens
56 Teacher Advisory Council, and a member of the District
Technology Team. In 1997, she graduated from Lander University
with a degree in elementary education. In 1999, she earned
a master's degree in educational administration from Clemson
University.
Melanie RickA fourth-grade teacher at Stone Academy in
Greenville, Melanie graduated from Clemson University with
a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education and special
education. She is the chair of Stone Academy's Science
Committee, assistant Team chair, sponsor of the Photography
Club, and a School Improvement Council participant. Last
year, she was named "Teacher of the Year" and
won WYFF/Channel 4's "Golden Apple" award. South
Carolina ETV and the State Department of Education spent
a day filming in her classroom to use as an example of
a "model class" for the state ADEPT new teacher
training.
