The Bluegrass Sound
started in July 1983 on ETV Radio. The series features a mix of both traditional and contemporary bluegrass music, some occasional old time mountain music, interviews with well-known bluegrass performers, and on-site, live recorded bluegrass concerts.

The show's creator, Clarence Dreher, has been Producer since the first show. Hosts over the years have included Patti Just and Dr. Gary Stanton. Dr. Larry Klein has been Associate Producer and host of The Bluegrass Sound since 1989.

4)The Southeastern Bluegrass Association has monthly shows at Lynches River County Park on the first Saturday of each month. Lynches River County Park is located about 10 miles south of Florence right off of Highway 52.

11)A monthly bluegrass series takes place on the 4th Saturday of each month, at the Haynes Auditorium in Batesburg-Leesville SC. Doors open 6:30 PM and the show starts at 7:00.

12)Bluegrass Thursday Nights continues at the Allison Creek Presbyterian Church on SC Hwy 274 between Newport and Lake Wylie on the first and third Thursday each month starting at 6:30 PM. The church is located at 5780 Allison Creek Road in York near the Allison Creek Boat Landing.
