South Carolina ETV

Underwriting Credit Guidelines

South Carolina ETV credits run 15 seconds, starting with your business' or organization's name, and should be no more than 25 words. These audio-video credits can be produced in-house, so there are no production costs to you. Among the things we can do for you...

Broadcast a Trade Slogan

Nightly Business Report is made possible in part by BB&T, "You can tell we want your business."

Describe a Product or Service

Jacques and Julia is made possible in part by Savoir Faire, Our hands-on cooking classes teach you how to use our professional cooking tools.

Build an Association with South Carolina ETV

Election Night Coverage is made possible in part by SCANA, who is proud to support this SCETV Project Democracy presentation.

Explain Trade Names, Products, and Services That Aid Listeners in Identifying You

In Our Schools is made possible in part by The South Carolina Student Loan Corporation, investing in South Carolina's future for 25 years as South Carolina's designated lender for college loans.

These guidelines are a big part of the reason 72% of our viewers are able to recall the sponsors of our programming.

There are some restrictions on what we can say for you. We can not:

  • Make a call to action (...Get Met. It Pays.)
  • Use superlatives or be qualitative (...the most intelligent car ever built)
  • Give price or value information (...low rates available now)
  • Use a direct comparison (...fresh food, not like the chains)
  • Include endorsements (...recommended by 3 out of 4 doctors)
  • Create inducements to buy (...a month's free rent if you sign now).

And there are some words we can not use, like reliable, prompt, excellent, dedicated, quality, luxury, or leading.

Remember, for our audience, less is more. We want you to get credit, not criticism.
