Opportunities

Are you looking for an exciting way to become part of our state's public broadcasting family? ETV and Radio offer many opportunities for you, your organization, your family, and your friends to become involved.

• ETV Public Broadcasting Unpaid Internship Program

• Pledge Phone Volunteer for the Television Membership Campaign:

Sign up your community group or organization and receive great publicity while enjoying a few hours of fundraising fun in our television studio! Bring fourteen volunteers to answer phones during our March, August, or December campaign. Your group will receive an on-air interview; on-air coverage throughout the shift; and a thank-you on-air, on our Web site, in our Scene magazine, and in our quarterly volunteer newsletter.

• Pledge Phone Volunteer for the Radio Membership Campaign:

Sign up individually or sign up your community group or organization and receive great publicity while enjoying a few hours of fundraising fun in our radio studio! Come alone or bring five to eight volunteers from your group to answer phones during our February, June, or October campaign. Your group will receive an on-air interview; on-air coverage throughout the shift; and a thank-you on-air, on our Web site, in our Scene magazine, and in our quarterly volunteer newsletter.

• Phone Captain:

Greet, train, and assist volunteers during membership campaigns.

• Hospitality Host:

Work with area food vendors during membership campaigns.

• Costumed Character or Handler:

Dress as a children's costumed character or assist the costumed character at special events.

• Tour Guide:

Conduct tours of the ETV Telecommunications Center.

• Special Events Host:

Greet the public and distribute information at the ETV and Radio booth at community events (3 Rivers Festival, State Fair, etc.).

• General Office Help

Assist with clerical duties, data entry, bulk mailing, and other activities.
